On-Site Carbon Steel MMA Welder – Fuel Tank Specialist
Nationwide UK Coverage

Our client is looking for an experienced carbon steel MMA welder to join their expanding team, delivering specialist on-site welding services for fuel tanks and fuel-system infrastructure across the UK. This role involves site work nationwide, operating across commercial, industrial, and agricultural environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out MMA (stick) welding on carbon steel fuel tanks, pipework, and associated structures

  • Perform repairs, modifications, reinforcement work, and small-scale fabrication

  • Complete on-site welding using mobile welding equipment

  • Follow strict safety and compliance procedures when working on fuel-bearing systems

  • Conduct site assessments and maintain safe working practices at all times

  • Represent the company professionally when interacting with clients

Requirements

  • Proven experience working as a carbon steel MMA welder (site work nationwide)

  • Strong understanding of hot-work safety procedures, particularly on fuel systems

  • Ability to work independently across multiple sites throughout the UK

  • Full UK driving licence

  • Relevant welding qualifications or time-served equivalent experience

  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to meet deadlines

  • Familiarity with current welding codes and standards

  • Valid CSCS card

Desirable (Not Essential)

  • Experience working on fuel tanks or in hazardous-area environments

  • Additional welding or fabrication skills

  • Confined space or hot-work certification
