Trade Counter Sales – Builders Merchant

Interaction Recruitment are recruiting for an experienced Trade Counter Sales professional from a builders merchant background to join a busy and well-established client based in Halifax.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday: 07:00 – 16:30
• Saturday: 07:00 – 10:30

Key Responsibilities:

• Serving customers face-to-face on the trade counter
• Handling enquiries via phone and email
• Preparing and sending quotations
• Processing sales orders accurately
• Building strong relationships with new and existing customers
• Generating new business and re-engaging lapsed accounts
• Supporting yard and back-office teams
• Providing expert product knowledge and advice

Essential Requirements:

• Previous trade counter experience
• Background within a builders merchant environment
• Confident and professional with customers
• Strong numerical skills (margins & quantities)
• Computer literate
• Able to work Monday to Saturday
• Local to Halifax or able to commute easily
• Excellent telephone manner
