The Role

This position offers full ownership of CNC programming within a fast‑paced, high‑precision environment. You will be responsible for producing intricate, tight‑tolerance components on Haas 5‑axis milling machines, driving performance, accuracy, and efficiency across all machining operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, refine, and optimise CNC programmes for 5‑axis Haas machines.
  • Interpret detailed engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical documentation.
  • Set, operate, and prove out programmes from concept to production readiness.
  • Specify tooling, fixturing, and machining strategies for complex components.
  • Work consistently to demanding tolerances required within automotive and motorsport manufacturing.
  • Conduct first‑off inspections and collaborate closely with quality teams to ensure compliance.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance cycle times and machining efficiency.
  • Support the upkeep and performance of machinery through routine maintenance tasks.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Demonstrable experience as a CNC 5‑Axis Programmer.
  • Strong proficiency with Haas controls, including proven 5‑axis capability.
  • Background in automotive, motorsport, aerospace, or other precision‑engineering sectors.
  • Expert ability to read and interpret intricate engineering drawings.
  • Deep knowledge of tooling, workholding, feeds, speeds, and best‑practice machining methods.
  • Capable of producing highly accurate, high‑finish components to stringent tolerances.
  • CAM experience (Fusion 360, Mastercam, Hypermill, or similar) is advantageous but not essential.
  • A meticulous, problem‑solving mindset with an uncompromising focus on quality.
