HGV Technician

Location: Ellington
Pay: Up to £24 per hour + bonus (discussed at interview)

The Role

As an HGV Technician, your duties will include:

  • Conducting vehicle inspections and fault‑finding diagnostics.
  • Completing servicing, maintenance, and repairs to a high standard.
  • Preparing HGVs for MOT testing.
  • Working efficiently to manage your workload and maintain productivity.
  • Liaising with the Workshop Manager to ensure parts are ordered and delivered promptly.
  • Maintaining a clean, safe working environment and ensuring equipment longevity.
  • Completing all required documentation accurately for each job carried out.

Required Skills & Competencies

We are looking for candidates who have:

  • Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Service & Maintenance qualification
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience across a varied HGV fleet
  • Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment
  • Capability to deliver servicing to manufacturer and main dealer standards
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
