The Role

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of internal and external examinations across the college.

  • Ensure full compliance with JCQ regulations and awarding body requirements.

  • Coordinate exam entries, timetables, and invigilator schedules with efficiency and accuracy.

  • Maintain secure handling of examination materials and data at all times.

  • Liaise effectively with staff, students, senior leaders, and external awarding bodies.

  • Lead, train, and support invigilators to ensure the smooth running of every exam session.

  • Manage post-results services, including remarks, appeals, and certification.

Key Requirements

  • Proven experience as an Exams Officer or in examinations administration within an educational setting.

  • Strong knowledge of JCQ guidelines and exam board procedures.

  • Exceptional organisational skills and attention to detail.

  • Confident using management information systems (MIS) and Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

  • A proactive, reliable, and solution-focused approach under pressure.
