Are you a qualified accounting professional with a passion for financial excellence and team leadership? Our client, who are a leader in their field, are seeking an experienced Accounting/Finance Manager to join their dynamic UK finance team based in St Neots, Cambridgeshire.

Working initially in the office, this role will eventually become hybrid with working pattern to suit the team and individual circumstances.

๐Ÿ” The Role

As Accounting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Financial Controller and ensuring robust financial control, compliance, and reporting across two legal entities. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a well-established team transactional finance team, drive process improvements, and contribute to the strategic financial direction of a global business. This is an opportunity for a fully qualified accountant with 5yrs PQE, looking for an opportunity to progress in the future.

๐Ÿงพ Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit monthly management and intercompany reports via the Group’s consolidated reporting system.
  • Maintain and reconcile the General Ledger, including balance sheet, fixed assets, and internal recharges.
  • Lead the preparation of statutory accounts and manage external audits.
  • Ensure timely and accurate tax submissions and compliance reporting.
  • Oversee ERP system maintenance and ensure alignment with Group and local standards.
  • Manage leased vehicle records and insurance updates.
  • Mentor and develop a team of three finance professionals.
  • Collaborate on cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

๐Ÿง  What You’ll Bring

  • Qualified CCAB accountant with 5+ years of financial/management accounting experience.
  • Proven leadership experience in managing and developing teams.
  • Strong knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and financial systems.
  • Proficiency in Excel (Intermediate essential, Advanced desirable).
  • A proactive, detail-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills.

You’ll work closely with the Financial Controller, wider finance team, internal management, Group Finance, and external statutory bodies.
