Interaction Education are pleased to currently be working with a great school in the Hemel Hempstead area in their search for a Pastoral Officer, on a temporary basis with a view to going permanent for the right candidate.

This role would suit someone with previous experience in a pastoral or pastoral support position, and will be starting as soon as possible.

The key responsibilities for the role can be found below:

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide pastoral support to students, offering guidance on academic, emotional, and social matters.

• Act as a first point of contact for students who require assistance with personal or social issues.

• Monitor and support the well-being of students, referring to external services as needed.

• Work closely with teachers and other staff to identify students at risk and develop appropriate interventions.

• Lead or support student mentoring programs and peer support initiatives.

• Contribute to the management of student behavior, promoting positive conduct and addressing any concerns or incidents.

• Organize and deliver workshops or small-group sessions on personal development, emotional resilience, and anti-bullying.

• Communicate effectively with parents and carers to discuss students' progress and well-being.

• Maintain accurate records of student support and interventions in line with school policies.
