Nightshift Machine / Production Operator – Full-Time – Stanley, County Durham

A well-established manufacturing company in the FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) sector is currently recruiting for Machine / Production Operators to join their nightshift team based at their site in Stanley, County Durham. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals looking for consistent, long-term work with the potential for permanent employment following a qualifying period.


Position Overview:

We are seeking reliable, hardworking individuals to operate machinery and support general production processes. This role involves a combination of machine operation, manual handling, and working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.


Key Duties:

  • Operating automated and semi-automated production machinery

  • Manual handling, lifting, and movement of goods and materials

  • Unloading boxes from production lines and preparing goods for dispatch

  • Palletising products and maintaining a clean, organised workspace

  • Conducting regular quality control checks to ensure product standards

  • Following all health and safety procedures at all times

A valid FLT Counterbalance licence is required for this position.


Shift Pattern & Hours:

  • Nightshift: Sunday to Thursday

  • Hours: 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM (40 hours/week)


Pay & Benefits:

  • Competitive hourly rate (paid weekly)

  • Overtime available, paid at enhanced rates:

    • Time and a half

    • Double time (where applicable)

  • Opportunity to secure a permanent contract after a qualifying period

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds a valid FLT Counterbalance licence

  • Has experience in a production, warehouse, or manufacturing environment
