This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous experience in a sheet metal fabrication or engineering workshop who is looking for a varied, hands-on position.

We are not looking for a fully skilled fabricator or coded welder. Instead, we are looking for someone with a good basic understanding of fabrication processes who is confident using workshop machinery and happy to get involved in different areas of production.

The ideal candidate will have some experience in punching, folding, welding or general sheet metal work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with CNC punching machinery.

  • Operating or assisting with press brake and sheet metal folding equipment.

  • Assisting with general assembly and production work.

  • Working with sheet metal components.

  • Following engineering drawings and instructions where required.

  • Checking finished products for quality.

  • Supporting different areas of the fabrication workshop.

  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Press brake operating or sheet metal folding.

  • Basic MIG or TIG welding.

  • CNC plasma cutting.

  • Powder coating.

  • Grinding, deburring and metal finishing.

  • General fabrication and assembly.

You do not need experience in all of these areas. Candidates with some relevant workshop experience who are willing to learn will be considered.

Working Hours & Pay

  • Monday to Friday

  • 7:00am – 3:30pm

  • 40 hours per week

  • £16.00 – £17.00 per hour, depending on experience

  • Annual salary equivalent: £33,280 – £35,360 based on 40 hours per week
