Business Development Manager / Estimator

£35,000 - £45,000

Job Purpose

Our client are a well-established company and are seeing a Business Development Manager / Estimator you will be responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities, maintaining strong relationships with existing clients, and preparing accurate, competitive cost estimates and tenders to support the company's growth.

If you have a good knowledge of construction and the interiors market this would be ideal.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify, develop and pursue new business opportunities to generate sustainable company growth.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients, contractors, consultants, developers and other key stakeholders.
• Proactively generate leads through networking, referrals, market research, industry events and direct client engagement.
• Maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities and manage the sales process from initial enquiry through to contract award.
• Attend client meetings, site visits and networking events to promote the company's services and capabilities.
• Prepare proposals, presentations and quotations tailored to client requirements.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities.
• Develop and maintain a structured business development plan, including sales targets and revenue forecasts.

Estimating:

• Review incoming enquiries, tender documentation, specifications, drawings and schedules to establish project requirements.
• Undertake detailed cost estimates, including labour, materials, plant, subcontractors, preliminaries and other associated costs.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
