Job Description
We are currently recruiting reliable and professional Class 2 HGV Drivers to join our team, delivering palletised goods to a variety of commercial customers. This is an excellent opportunity for drivers looking for consistent weekday work with the potential for a permanent position.
The successful candidates will be responsible for completing pallet deliveries safely, efficiently and professionally, ensuring excellent customer service at every delivery.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver palletised goods to commercial customers and businesses.
- Complete multi-drop deliveries in a timely and efficient manner.
- Ensure all deliveries are carried out safely and in accordance with road traffic regulations.
- Carry out vehicle safety checks before and after each shift.
- Ensure all delivery paperwork and electronic proof of delivery are completed accurately.
- Communicate professionally with customers, transport planners and the traffic office.
- Ensure goods are handled securely and safely throughout the delivery process.
- Maintain a clean and roadworthy vehicle, reporting any defects promptly.
Requirements
- Valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence.
- Valid Driver CPC qualification.
- Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous HGV driving experience preferred.
- Experience with pallet deliveries and multi-drop work would be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of road safety and drivers' hours regulations.
- A reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
