The Opportunity

Interaction Technical are working in partnership with a leading precision engineering manufacturer to recruit an experienced CNC Turner & Programmer to join their expanding team.

The Role

As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for programming, setting and operating multi-axis CNC turning centres to produce complex, high-precision components.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Programming, setting and operating CNC multi-axis turning centres
  • Manufacturing precision components to engineering drawings, CAD models and customer specifications
  • Operating Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes to achieve high levels of productivity and quality
  • Carrying out offline programming using Hypermill, as well as making programme adjustments where required
  • Machining a variety of challenging materials, including stainless steel, titanium,

Inconel, aerospace alloys and other exotic materials

  • Carrying out first-off, in-process and final inspections to ensure components meet strict quality standards and tight tolerances
  • Operating multiple machines where required to maximise production efficiency
  • Completing production documentation and maintaining accurate manufacturing records
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the machining department
  • Maintaining high standards of quality, health & safety and manufacturing procedures

About You

The successful candidate will have previous experience working as a CNC Turner Programmer/Setter/Operator within a precision engineering environment.

You will ideally have:

  • Strong experience programming and setting multi-axis CNC lathes with Fanuc controls
  • Proven experience with Hypermill offline programming
  • A strong background in manufacturing complex, precision-machined components to tight tolerances
  • Experience machining aerospace alloys, titanium, Inconel, stainless steel and other exotic materials would be highly advantageous
  • The ability to confidently read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Experience carrying out manual inspection and quality control procedures
  • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • A flexible, motivated and quality-focused approach
  • A genuine passion for precision engineering and producing high-quality work
