Field Service Engineer
Location: Guildford, Surrey
Salary: £41,000–£42,000 base salary + London Weighting (£3,000–£4,000 per annum)
OTE: £50,000–£55,000+
Hours: Monday–Friday, 40 hours per week
Additional Pay: Door-to-door travel time paid + overtime at 1.5x

The Client
Interaction Recruitment is partnering with a rapidly expanding, rewarding and innovative organisation within the Industrial Cleaning Equipment sector to support the continued growth of its engineering team.
Due to ongoing expansion, they are looking for a skilled Electromechanical Engineer who is interested in learning, developing and progressing within the industrial cleaning machinery sector.

The Responsibilities
As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Attending breakdowns, servicing and installations across a range of industrial cleaning equipment, typically operating within a 1-hour radius of your area
- Using a range of manual and powered tools, including spanners, screwdrivers, drills and grinders
- Using lifting equipment such as lifting slings and hoists
- Using hot-working equipment including blowtorches and heat guns
- Carrying out electrical, electronic and mechanical fault finding and repairs
- Working on industrial cleaning equipment and internal combustion engines, including petrol, diesel and LPG engines
- Managing your time effectively to ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within appropriate timescales
- Completing job reports and ordering replacement parts where necessary
- Ensuring all Health & Safety procedures are followed at all times
The Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in electrical and/or mechanical fault finding, repair and servicing
- A good level of electrical or mechanical knowledge
- Experience in a similar engineering role, such as:
- Plant Engineer
- Maintenance Engineer
- Hydraulic Engineer
- Pneumatic Engineer
- Mechanical Fitter
- Relevant qualifications such as NVQ or City & Guilds in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering would be advantageous but are not essential
- Experience using electrical and mechanical tools
- Previous experience as a mechanical, electrical or field-based engineer
- Experience working with diesel engines and electrical diagnostic equipment
- A full UK driving licence
