Interaction Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Kitchen Porter to support a well-established school in Cambridge.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy kitchen environment and is looking for daytime hours within a professional catering setting.

The Role

As a Kitchen Porter, you will support the wider kitchen team and help ensure the kitchen is kept clean, organised and running efficiently.

Duties will include:

• Washing pots, pans, plates, cutlery and kitchen equipment

• Managing pot wash and plate wash areas

• Keeping kitchen and food preparation areas clean and tidy

• Cleaning floors, work surfaces and equipment

• Emptying bins and maintaining waste areas

• Assisting with basic kitchen duties where required

• Supporting chefs and catering staff during busy service periods

• Maintaining high standards of hygiene at all times

• Following food safety and health & safety procedures

What We're Looking For

We are looking for someone who is:

• Reliable and punctual

• Hardworking and comfortable in a busy environment

• Able to work effectively as part of a team

• Comfortable carrying out physical and repetitive tasks

• Able to maintain high standards of cleanliness

• Available to work 10:00am–6:00pm

Previous Kitchen Porter or hospitality experience would be beneficial, although a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are equally important.
