Salary: £16.00–£17.00 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: 38 hours per week, Monday to Friday

About the Role
Interaction Recruitment, on behalf of their client, are currently recruiting for an experienced Welder/Fabricator to join a busy engineering workshop in Rochdale.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hard-working, reliable and skilled Welder/Fabricator looking for long-term, permanent employment with a growing and established manufacturing business.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for MIG welding and fabricating a range of components and assemblies, working to high standards and in accordance with engineering drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- MIG welding mild steel from 2mm to 10mm
- Fabrication of frameworks and sub-assemblies to a high standard
- Reading and working confidently from engineering drawings
- General engineering workshop duties
- Producing accurate, high-quality work
- Working efficiently as part of a busy workshop team
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeeping
Candidate Requirements
- Previous experience as a Welder/Fabricator
- Strong MIG welding experience
- Experience welding mild steel between 2mm and 10mm
- Previous engineering workshop experience
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Excellent attention to detail
- High standard of workmanship
- Reliable, hardworking and dependable
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ideally based in or around Rochdale
Working Hours & Benefits
- Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 5:00pm
- Friday: 8:00am – 2:45pm
- 38 hours per week
- £16.00–£17.00 per hour
- 28 days paid holiday, including Bank Holidays
- Full-time, permanent position following a satisfactory probationary period
