Factory Operative

Location: Royston
Job Type: Full-time | Temporary to Permanent
Pay: £13.00 – £14.00 per hour, depending on experience
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30–17:00

About the Role

Our client is a well-established company based in Royston and is looking for reliable and hardworking Factory Operatives to join their production team.

This is a temporary-to-permanent opportunity for candidates looking for stable, long-term employment with the opportunity to develop within the business.

Important: Due to the remote location of the site, there are no public transport links available. Applicants must have their own reliable transport and be able to travel to the site for the full working hours.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general factory and production duties.
• Operate machinery and equipment safely following training.
• Assemble, pack and prepare products for dispatch.
• Complete quality checks.
• Follow production instructions and meet daily targets.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.
• Support the wider production team as required.

The Ideal Candidate

• Previous factory, manufacturing, warehouse or production experience is desirable.
• Reliable, punctual and hardworking.
• Good attention to detail.
• Comfortable working in a busy production environment.
• Willing to learn and follow instructions.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good attitude and strong work ethic.
• Must have reliable transport due to the remote location.

Transport Requirement

Please only apply if you have your own reliable transport and can travel to the Royston site for the required working hours.

There are no suitable public transport links to the site, so candidates relying on buses or trains will not be suitable for this position.
