Multi-Skilled CNC Miller – Permanent

Salary: depending on experience
Job Type: Permanent
Hours: 38 hours per week, rotating shifts

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Skilled CNC Miller to join an established engineering business.

The successful candidate will have strong 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC milling experience, with the ability to set and operate machines using Fanuc and Heidenhain controls.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set and operate 3, 4 and 5-axis CNC milling machines
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Read and understand CNC programmes
  • Adjust offsets and coordinates
  • Carry out quality checks and ensure components meet specifications
  • Deburr and fettle components
  • Troubleshoot machine issues where required
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment
  • Follow 5S, health & safety and company procedures
  • Work as part of a team to meet production targets

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar CNC milling role
  • Strong experience with multi-axis CNC milling
  • Knowledge of Fanuc and Heidenhain controls
  • Good understanding of engineering drawings and CNC programmes
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant engineering qualification, apprenticeship, City & Guilds, NVQ/NCQ or equivalent
  • Right to work in the UK

Shift Pattern

2 weeks early: Monday–Thursday 6:00am–2:30pm, Friday 6:00am–1:00pm

2 weeks late: Monday–Thursday 2:30pm–12:30am

30-minute unpaid break on each shift.
