Shift Pattern (Weekly Rotation):

  • 06:00 – 14:00
  • 14:00 – 22:00

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

About the Role

We are currently recruiting Apple Graders to join a busy food production facility. Working as part of the production team, you will play an important role in ensuring apples meet the required quality standards before being processed into food products.

This is a fast-paced, hands-on role that requires excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently while maintaining high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Continuously monitor the apple production line to ensure product quality.
  • Inspect apples for defects, bruising, damage, discolouration and contamination.
  • Check that all apple skin has been completely removed during the peeling process.
  • Remove any defective or unsuitable apples from the production line.
  • Ensure products meet customer quality specifications.
  • Report any quality concerns or machinery issues to the relevant supervisor.
  • Maintain a clean and hygienic working area.
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to meet daily production targets.

What We're Looking For

  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Reliable with a good work ethic.
  • Comfortable standing for long periods and carrying out repetitive tasks.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced food production environment.
  • Flexible to work rotating shifts.
  • Previous experience in food production, factory work, quality inspection or manufacturing is advantageous but not essential, as full training will be provided.
