Trainee Accountant

Salary: Up to £30,000 (DOE) Full‑time | Permanent | 9am–5.15pm

A great opportunity for an ambitious Trainee Accountant looking to build a long‑term career in practice. You’ll work closely with the Client Director, support a busy portfolio, and gain hands‑on experience across VAT, accounts, tax, and client communication.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing and submitting VAT returns, statutory accounts, and corporation tax returns

• Reviewing client financial records for accuracy and compliance

• Managing daily client queries and delivering excellent service

• Communicating professionally via phone, email, and Microsoft Teams

• Responding to internal and external email queries promptly

• Maintaining internal control records and issuing client reminders

• Representing company values in all client and colleague interactions

• Working towards and exceeding KPIs and performance targets

What You’ll Need

• AAT / ACCA / ACA (part‑qualified or qualified)

• Minimum 1 year accounting industry experience

• Experience using accounting software

• Strong Microsoft Office and Outlook skills

• Confident, eager to learn, and committed to developing your accounting career

• Detail‑focused, organised, and adaptable

• Strong communicator and supportive team player
