The Opportunity

Interaction Recruitment are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and growing organisation within the engineering and maintenance sector. They are looking to recruit a Service Coordinator to join their busy team in Peterborough.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive business where you'll play a key role in coordinating service activities, supporting customers, and ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly. The Role

As a Service Coordinator, your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating planned maintenance and service visits through a network of engineers and external service partners.
  • Liaising with customers to arrange scheduled work and follow-up appointments.
  • Managing urgent maintenance requests and ensuring high-priority work is dealt with efficiently.
  • Scheduling repair work and maintaining accurate service records.
  • Providing excellent customer support and ensuring service requirements are met.
  • Processing engineer paperwork and updating internal systems.
  • Monitoring work in progress and ensuring jobs are completed within agreed timescales.
  • Working closely with internal teams to ensure a smooth and efficient service.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a service coordination, scheduling, administration or customer service role.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • A professional and confident telephone manner.
  • Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • The ability to prioritise a busy workload and meet deadlines.
  • A proactive, customer-focused attitude.
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team.

Experience within an engineering, maintenance, logistics, fleet or service-based environment would be advantageous, although this is not essential as full training will be provided.
