Service Engineer – Automated Gates

Location: hertfordshire 
Salary: £32,000 - £38,000 per year

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Service Engineer to join a growing and established team specialising in automated gates and entry systems.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer who enjoys fault finding, problem solving, and working with customers to provide high-quality service solutions.

The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing faults, carrying out repairs, completing upgrades, installing replacement equipment, and supporting a variety of automated access systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnosing faults on automated gates and entry systems.
• Carrying out breakdown repairs and servicing.
• Completing upgrades, replacements, and small installation works.
• Fault finding and repairing:
  • Automated gates
  • Barriers
  • Intercom systems
  • GSM systems
  • Access control equipment
• Installing replacement parts and equipment.
• Providing excellent customer service while working on-site.
• Completing work safely and efficiently to a high standard.

Requirements

• Previous experience within gate automation, automated entry systems, security systems, or a similar engineering background.
• Strong fault-finding and repair skills.
• Good mechanical and electrical understanding.
• Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy.
• Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop.
• Full UK driving licence required.
• Must be comfortable travelling to customer sites.
• Candidates must be able to drive and have their own transport.
