Warehouse Operative

We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Operative to join our client based on the outskirts of Wellington.

Working Hours

42.5 hours per week

• Monday to Thursday: 07:30 – 17:00
• Friday: 08:00 – 15:00

Pay Rate

💷 £12.71 - £13.00 per hour

The Role

As a Finishing Operative, you will be responsible for ensuring all products are completed to a high standard before dispatch. This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, practical skills and a commitment to quality.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out finishing tasks including sanding, trimming, polishing, cleaning, and surface preparation.
• Inspect products for defects and ensure they meet quality standards and specifications.
• Operate hand tools, power tools and finishing equipment safely and effectively.
• Work to production schedules and achieve daily output targets.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Collaborate with production teams to resolve issues and maintain workflow.
• Complete quality checks and production documentation accurately.
• Follow all company health and safety procedures.

Skills & Experience

• Previous experience within a finishing, production, manufacturing, or warehouse environment is advantageous but not essential.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality work.
• Good hand-eye coordination and confidence using tools and equipment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work to deadlines.
• Reliable, punctual and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Own transport is required due to the location and working hours.
