Salary: National Minimum Wage up to £30,000 per annum (depending on experience)
Location: Haverthwaite
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent (38 hours per week)

About the Role

Due to continued growth, we are looking to expand our Timber Production Team with enthusiastic and motivated Production Operatives. This is an excellent opportunity to join a fast-paced manufacturing environment where you will learn a variety of equipment and production processes, helping you become multi-skilled across different departments.

This role would suit someone with manufacturing, assembly, joinery, or woodworking experience, although full training will be provided for candidates who demonstrate the right attitude and aptitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out general assembly and production tasks
  • Read and interpret drawings and work orders accurately
  • Safely operate machinery and hand tools
  • Inspect and measure finished products to ensure quality standards are met
  • Perform daily machine checks and basic maintenance
  • Work effectively as part of a busy production team
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives to improve efficiency and reduce waste

Skills & Experience

The ideal candidate will:

  • Have excellent attention to detail and a “right first time” approach
  • Be self-motivated with strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Be able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Have good numeracy skills
  • Demonstrate a flexible, positive, and proactive attitude
  • Be comfortable undertaking manual handling duties

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Manufacturing or assembly experience
  • Joinery or woodworking experience
  • Ability to read and follow technical drawings
