We are working with a welcoming secondary school in Leighton Buzzard seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Food Technology Teacher to join their thriving department. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious teacher to inspire students through practical and engaging lessons while promoting creativity, nutrition awareness, and culinary skills across KS3–KS4.

Role Overview:

Teach Food Technology across KS3–KS4 (KS5 desirable)

Plan and deliver engaging practical and theory-based lessons

Support students in developing cooking skills, nutrition knowledge, and confidence in the kitchen

Monitor student progress and implement strategies to raise achievement

Contribute to curriculum planning and departmental initiatives

Maintain a safe, organised, and hygienic learning environment

About You:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification

Experience teaching Food Technology at secondary level

Strong classroom management and organisational skills

Passionate about high-quality teaching and student achievement

Excellent communication and teamwork abilities

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
