We are a specialist education recruitment agency working closely with a welcoming and forward‑thinking secondary school in Hertfordshire to appoint a passionate Food Technology Teacher from September.

This role offers an exciting opportunity for career progression, with potential for a Head of Department position for the right candidate with the relevant experience, leadership skills, and ambition.

The Role:

  • Teaching Food Technology across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 available depending on experience)
  • Delivering engaging, practical, and theory‑based lessons
  • Planning, assessing, and tracking pupil progress
  • Contributing to curriculum development within the DT department
  • Supporting department growth and leadership, where appropriate

The Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds QTS (or is completing training)
  • Has strong subject knowledge in Food Technology / Food Preparation & Nutrition
  • Is an ECT or experienced teacher (leadership experience highly desirable)
  • Maintains high expectations and strong classroom management
  • Is committed to professional development and student achievement
