The Role

We are seeking an experienced Conventional Machinist / Manual Miller & Turner to join the team. This is a hands-on position suited to a skilled machinist who is confident operating manual milling machines and capable of working on lathes when required. You will be responsible for producing high-quality components across a range of materials, ensuring accuracy and consistency at all times.


Key Responsibilities

  • Operate manual milling machines to produce precision-engineered components
  • Use manual lathes as required
  • Machine parts from both ferrous and non-ferrous materials
  • Work with materials including mild steel, stainless steel, copper, and occasional plastics
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Maintain high standards of quality, accuracy, and workmanship
  • Collaborate with colleagues to meet production targets

Working Hours

  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:30pm
  • Friday: 8:00am – 1:00pm (early finish)

  • Proven experience as a Conventional Machinist / Manual Miller & Turner
  • Experience operating manual lathes
  • Ability to read and work from engineering drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
