Transport Coordinator

💰 Up to £40,000 per annum

We are recruiting on behalf of a client for an experienced Transport Coordinator with a strong background in HGV fleet operations.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for planning and coordinating deliveries across a fleet of HGVs and vans, ensuring efficient, compliant, and on-time operations.

Key Duties

• Vehicle scheduling and route planning
• Monitoring vehicle tracking and delivery progress
• Managing drivers (timekeeping, debriefs, communication)
• Processing delivery notes and maintaining system records (Microsoft NAV)
• Coordinating fleet maintenance and defect resolution
• Preparing transport documentation in line with legal requirements
• Acting as the key contact for drivers, customers, and internal teams
• Supporting compliance with transport regulations

Requirements

• Experience coordinating HGV fleets (essential)
• Strong planning and organisational skills
• Good knowledge of transport compliance
• Confident communicator with a proactive approach
