Class 1 Drivers

Location: Erith
Shifts: Monday to Friday
Pay Rate: £21.25 / £24.47ph

Minimum of 1 year Class 1 driving experience

Interaction Recruitment is currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (Category C+E) Drivers to work with a large, well‑established logistics company based in Erith.

Both day and night shifts are available, although this advert is primarily focused on night trunking work.

Shift Details

Night Shifts – Trunking (Depot to Depot)

• Start time: 17:30
• Finish time: 03:30 (approx.)
• Monday to Friday
• Simple, clean trunking work with no handball
• Pay rate: £24.47 per hour

Day Shifts – Store Deliveries

• Store deliveries with pre‑loaded, strapped loads
• No handball required
• Professional interaction with store staff
• Pay rate: £21.25ph

Role Overview

As a Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of goods, ensuring company procedures and road safety regulations are followed at all times. You will be representing a major logistics brand, so a professional attitude and strong communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle
• Complete trunking or store delivery routes as scheduled
• Ensure loads are checked and correctly secured using straps
• Accurately complete all relevant paperwork
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects
• Maintain professional conduct at depots and delivery locations

Requirements

• Full UK Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph card
• Minimum of 1 year Class 1 driving experience
• Experience with load strapping
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Good understanding of drivers’ hours and road safety regulations
