Residential Care Worker

Location: Exmouth Devon
Salary: up to £27,412 per annum
Hours: 42 hours per week, plus sleep ins on a rota basis, term-time only 39 weeks per year.

We are looking for enthusiastic, committed, and resilient Residential Care Workers to support their students (aged 9-25) in developing their independence and achieving their full potential within a caring and supportive residential environment.

No experience is necessary as full, comprehensive training including Level 3 Children and Young People's Workforce Diploma.

The Role

Every day as a Residential Care Worker is different. You will work within our modern, purpose-built residential flats.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing a safe, caring, and nurturing environment for students in their "home away from home".
  • Supporting students in developing essential independent living skills (e.g., cooking, cleaning, personal care).
  • Planning, organising, and accompanying students on a wide range of social and recreational activities, such as trips to the beach, cinema, bowling, and local community events.
  • Assisting with the educational and development needs of students within a 24-hour learning environment.
  • Working with a dedicated team to create and implement holistic support plans and manage student behaviour positively.
  • Liaising with parents, carers, and other staff members, ensuring accurate records and reports are maintained.
