Commercial Gas Engineer – Defence Sector (Prisons)
Location: Preston
Salary: £43,000 per annum
Hours: Monday–Friday, 08:00–17:00

Overview:
We are recruiting a Commercial Gas Engineer to join an established and reputable company with over 40 years’ experience in delivering maintenance services across secure and critical environments. This role involves planned and reactive maintenance within defence-sector prison facilities in the Preston area. A stable, long-term position offering excellent benefits and career reliability.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintenance, servicing and repair of commercial gas systems

• Fault finding and ensuring compliance with safety and statutory standards

• Working safely within secure prison sites, following all protocols

• Completing job reports and communicating effectively with on-site contacts

Essential Requirements

• Commercial Gas qualifications (ACS)

• F-Gas certification

• Full UK Driving Licence

• Ability to pass security vetting for secure facilities

• Experience in commercial or critical-environment maintenance (preferred)
