Location: Bedford

Salary: £32,000-£36,000 DOE

Shift pattern: Sunday to Thursday night

Description of the role:

As a Night Shift Transport Supervisor, you’ll play a key role in supporting the Transport Manager and ensuring the smooth running of overnight operations. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Supporting the Transport Manager in managing the site’s transport operation.
  • Ensuring compliance and reporting any issues.
  • Overseeing the safe delivery of products and accurate paperwork.
  • Conducting daily driver debriefs and resolving driver-related issues.
  • Coordinating vehicle breakdowns and liaising with recovery services.
  • Ensuring daily vehicle checks are completed.
  • Promoting a safe working environment in line with H&S policies.

Requirements for the role

  • Previous experience as a Transport Supervisor.
  • Strong knowledge of driver hours and transport regulations.
  • Advanced Excel skills and a logical, organised approach.
  • High standards of productivity and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Approachable, easy-going personality with a team-first mindset.
