Job Title: School Caretaker

Location:  Northampton / Milton Keynes
Start Date: September / October
Type: 12 Weeks Temp-to-Perm
Pay Rate: £13 – £17 per hour (depending on experience)

We are currently recruiting School Caretakers for multiple schools across Watford, Hemel Hempstead, Northampton, and Milton Keynes. These roles are ideal for reliable, proactive individuals looking for long-term opportunities within an educational setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Day-to-day maintenance of school buildings and grounds

• Carrying out minor repairs and basic maintenance work

• Ensuring classrooms, corridors, and facilities are safe and well-maintained

• Opening and closing the school premises (where required)

• Monitoring health & safety standards across the site

• Supporting staff with general site-related duties

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a caretaker, site manager, or facilities/maintenance role (preferred)

• Good practical skills and ability to carry out repairs

• Strong awareness of health & safety procedures

• Reliable, trustworthy, and able to work independently

• Enhanced DBS required (or willingness to obtain)
