Special Needs Teaching Assistant – Secondary School (Temp to Perm)

We’re working with a vibrant and supportive mixed secondary school in Waltham Forest that’s looking for a Special Needs Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join them from September. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm role ideal for someone looking to grow their career in education or SEN support.

Role Overview:

• Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of SEN (including ASD, SEMH, ADHD)

• Work closely with class teachers and SENCO to adapt learning strategies

• Promote emotional wellbeing, focus and engagement in lessons

• Create a positive, inclusive classroom environment

About You:

• Experience supporting students with SEN (in school or similar setting)

• Patient, resilient, and calm under pressure

• Good communication and teamwork skills

• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
