Senior Engineer - Timber Structures (West Midlands)
Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 basic (negotiable for the ideal candidate)
Car Allowance: £6,500
Bonus: 4% of base salary
Working Pattern: Hybrid - 3 days on-site, 2 days remote
Hours: 37.5 hours/week, Monday to Friday (flexible working hours)
A leading player in the timber frame construction sector is seeking a Senior Engineer to join their dynamic team. This role reports directly to the Head of Engineering and offers the opportunity to work on innovative residential projects across the UK and internationally.

· Collaborate with manufacturing facilities and construction sites across Europe and South Africa.
· Occasional international travel may be required to support project delivery and coordination.

What Were Looking For
· A background in timber engineering or a closely related structural discipline.
· Strong understanding of timber structures and construction methods.
· Experience working in timber frame, roof truss, or engineered wood product sectors is highly desirable.
· Ability to liaise effectively with internal teams, suppliers, and international partners.
Key Responsibilities
· Ensure engineering solutions comply with relevant codes and regulations.
· Support the development and testing of structural products, including fire and acoustic performance.
· Collaborate with software teams to enhance engineering tools and ensure quality assurance.
· Provide technical guidance to internal teams and external stakeholders.
· Represent the company in industry forums and standards committees.
Qualifications & Skills
· Degree in Civil, Structural, or Mechanical Engineering.
· Chartered or working towards chartered status with ICE or IStructE preferred.
· Familiarity with Eurocodes, particularly Eurocode 5, is advantageous.
· Proficiency in engineering and CAD software is beneficial.
