Job Title: Systems Testing Engineer

Location: Clevedon

Salary: £35,000 - £37,500 per annum 

We are currently recruiting for a systems testing engineer for a market leader within their industry Clevedon. As a Systems Testing Engineer, you will work closely with various departments to support the testing, inspection, and validation of Battery Tripping Units, Inverters, and UPS Systems. Your role is vital in maintaining high standards of quality, troubleshooting issues at a component level, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Test and inspect Battery Tripping Units, Inverters, and UPS Systems to ensure they meet specified standards.
  • Conduct factory acceptance tests (FATs) in line with customer specifications.
  • Capacity testing of batteries to verify performance and safety.
  • Evaluate testing procedures for both new and existing equipment, ensuring standards are maintained.
  • Maintain and calibrate test equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Perform fault finding down to component level on through-hole and surface-mount PCBs.
  • Assist in developing and updating testing standards and procedures.
  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and identify root causes.
  • Provide feedback during design reviews to improve product robustness and testability.

Qualifications / Knowledge:

  • Proficiency with MS Office and MRP systems.
  • Understanding of high-frequency power supply technology.
  • Experience with LabView for test automation and data analysis.
  • Strong attention to detail and precision in testing procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team.
  • Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting and process improvement.
  • Knowledge of software development/testing methodologies and frameworks is advantageous.
