Depot Maintenance Engineer
Permanent, Full-Time Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week, with overtime available Job Overview: This role focuses on undertaking major refurbishment and repair projects on equipment, ensuring high standards of maintenance and fault resolution. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, possess a strong work ethic, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities: • Repairs & Maintenance: • Undertake major in-house repairs and fault diagnosis on a range of equipment. • Perform planned maintenance to ensure all depot equipment is fully operational. • Inventory Management: • Maintain optimum stock levels of parts, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely reviews. • Allocate all used parts accurately via the works mobile tablet system. • Job Processing & Reporting: • Process and update all job details promptly and accurately on the works mobile tablet. • Support Across Sites: • Provide backup support to other areas and depots as required, demonstrating flexibility. • Workplace Maintenance: • Keep the work area clean, organised, and well-maintained to ensure efficiency and safety. • Compliance & Policies: • Adhere to company policies, procedures, and health and safety standards at all times. • General Duties: o Assist with other tasks as requested by the Foreman or Depot Manager. Requirements: • Essential: o Proven experience in a similar role involving equipment repairs and maintenance. o Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work. o Good communication skills to liaise effectively with colleagues and managers. o Ability to work independently and as part of a team. o Proactive approach to tasks and problem-solving.
