Job Role: Service Manager  
Location: Dorchester, Dorset (accepting applications from surrounding counties)
Salary: £45,000-£50,000 per annum + bonus (up to 12.5% of salary)
Hours: Monday-Friday 08.00-17:00 + 1 in 3 weekends in summer
Job Type: Full time, Permanent


The client:
Interaction Technical have partnered with a growing, world leading manufacturer of Agricultural Engineering Equipment to support the growth of their service team. Our client is looking to onboard an experienced service manager to run the Dorchester site efficiently. The package:

  • 32 days holiday including bank holidays – increasing with service
  • Ongoing commitment to training and progression
  • Pension scheme – 3% employee minimum, 8% employer
  • Incentive/bonus scheme up to 12.5% of salary based on depot and company performance

The Duties:

  • Manage the service team at the depot, carrying out staff training, recruitment, development and appraisals.
  • Complete daily, weekly and monthly documentation to report to management.
  • Oversee daily operations of the depot, ensuring that all work is completed as effectively and efficiently as possible by the service team.
  • Liaise with clients to ensure that they receive efficient service and that all their needs are met to a satisfactory level.
  • Keep accurate records and documentation of all services completed.
  • Ensure that the workshop is running smoothly on a day-to-day basis, dealing with any potential problems that may arise efficiently.

The Requirements:

  • Previous experience working as a service manager or in a leadership position– preferably within the agricultural industry (advantageous)
  • Proven mechanical/electrical skillset (advantageous)
  • Proven customer service experience with client liaison experience (advantageous)
  • Experience within the agricultural industry (advantageous)
  • Full UK Drivers License
