Job Role: Maintenance Engineer
Location: Corby, Northamptonshire
Salary: £50,000-£51,000 per annum (inc shift allowance) + Overtime Available @ 1.5x
Hours: 4 on 4 off (2 days 6:00-18:00 / 2 nights 18:00-6:00) – 18 days off after every 7th rotation
Job Type: Full time, Permanent

The Package:

  • Overtime available at 1.5X / 2x Saturday PM and Sundays
  • Monthly KPI bonus – up to £100
  • Annual KPI Bonus – up to 10% of base salary

The Duties:

  • Carry out PPM’s and reactive maintenance / repair of packaging machinery (Conveyors, Motors, Gearboxes, Packaging Machinery, Corrugation Machinery & Ancillary Machinery).
    • Attend breakdowns on site machinery & promote continuous improvement methodologies.
    • Liaise with Engineering management & fellow engineers to resolve breakdowns efficiently, professionally & in a timely manner.
    • Follow company wide health & safety procedures.
  • Carry out electrical maintenance and repair on site, working with PLC controlled systems, single and three phase supplies.

The Requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a maintenance engineer in a packaging, manufacturing, FMCG or similar industry (essential)
  • A good balance of Mechanical/Electrical Fault Finding, Repairs with an electrical bias preferred (essential)
  • Previous experience repairing & fault finding on components such as Motors, Gearboxes, Conveyor Systems, Converters, Inverters or PLCs (essential)
  • Apprentice trained with a minimum NVQ level 3 qualification within electrical/mechanical engineering (essential)
  • Understanding of Automated processes (advantageous)
  • An openness to learn, share practices & attend training courses when needed (advantageous)
  • Full UK Drivers License
