Our client is a commercial practice with a strong focus on commercial property, agriculture and rural estates and the food sector. We have ambitious plans for growth, but to realise them we need the right people.

 Day to day responsibilities are to:

• Provide legal advice to a range of clients, including the negotiation and drafting of documentation

• Carrying out in an effective, efficient and timely manner the various stages of legal proceedings with the aim of protecting the interests of the client

• Assuming responsibility for important elements of the work that is handled by a designated Partner

• Operating  effectively with clients and their professional and financial advisers – managing specific fields

• Working under the direction of a Partner and receiving assignments with specified objectives

• Management of client/matter files

• Management of fee income and collection of bills

• Terms and conditions of business for B2B and B2C matters especially for on-line businesses
• Software / trade mark licensing agreements
• Share and assets purchase / sales
• Joint ventures; Partnership / LLP agreements
• Articles of Association 

Applicants will be a newly qualified to 2 years PQE Solicitor who is able to demonstrate: 

• A sound knowledge of the law requisite for working in a Commercial/Corporate team

• IT literacy with an understanding and willingness to pioneer and embrace system development to build efficiencies

• An ability to develop relationships with colleagues and both new and existing clients and professionals

• Discretion and the ability to respect client confidentiality

• A willingness to  enhance their business development skills

• Good communication skills

• Solid organisation and time management skills

• Sound problem solving skills

• An ability to adapt to a broad range of situations and circumstances and remain calm under pressure

• A positive can-do attitude
