FINANCE MANAGER (FM) REQUIRED FOR A JANUARY/FEBRUARY START!! BASED IN COVENTRY £48,000 PER ANNUM DEPENDING ON EXPERIENCE + EXCELLENT BENEFITS AND OPPORTUNITY

My client is a well known expanding organisation and are now looking for a Finance Manager to join them initially on a fixed term 12-15 month contract, although with the expected growth this could well lead in to a permanent position. This exciting fast paced and autonomous position will be within a leading Facilities Management business based in Coventry, the role will be responsible for the production of monthly management accounts, various financial analysis and reporting on key financial data working closely with Operations and ensuring that managers receive timely, accurate and relevant information.

[ The role ]

  • To produce timely and reliable management information reports including variance analysis and reporting as required.
  • Direct supervision of two member of staff, one based in another depot
  • To participate in the budget and forecasting process, including liaison with operational managers to develop budgets and monitor against actuals, investigating and providing analysis of any differences.
  • Aged debt and accrued income management and review for contracts under responsibility
  • Cash forecasting working closely with general ledger and sales ledger departments
  • To review, propose and implement change processes for systems and processes.
  • To support the wider finance and operational team to resolve issues on a timely basis as required.
  • To liaise effectively with other areas of the business.
  • To participate in any training considered necessary to carry out duties associated with their employment.
  • To ensure that all reasonable steps are taken to protect the health, safety and welfare of yourself and all other fellow employees and any other person that you come into contact with at work.
  • To undertake such other duties as reasonably requested of a similar responsibility level that may be allocated to the post.
  • Production of accurate, on time management accounts
  • Build strong, positive relationship with Operations to aid delivery of financial targets
  • Maintaining and improving control of all financial matters within the scope of the role
  • Contributing to the actions/initiatives included within the regional profit and loss forecasts

[ Person and skills required ]

  • Ideally CIMA/ACCA qualified working within a service based business
  • Experience in producing management accounts and reviewing operations managers
  • Experience of forecasting and budgeting, working with operations managers
  • Experience of managing a small team
  • Proven ability and sound understanding of accounting principles
  • Ability to detail and present information succinctly to board level
  • Excellent IT skills including Excel and data manipulation
  • Full UK driving licence due to potential travel to other sites
  • Professional attitude
  • Enthusiastic being a team player
