We are recruiting on behalf of a Global company based in Hatfield, for a Senior Credit Analyst. 

Ensuring that all credit limit decisions are strictly made in accordance with the company's Credit Policy & Authorisation Matrix. 

You will be expected to apply strict Credit Risk Management practices to highlight any potential risks to the Company's profitability. 


· You will be supervising the Credit Analyst and have regular contact with the Credit Managers and Collections Team members

· Youll be liaising with Credit Insurance Underwriters & Brokers, to ensure effective and efficient credit cover

· Monitoring Credit Risk Information supplied via 3rd parties. Source additional financial information from customers where required

· Assist with Credit Management decisions

· Monitoring daily updates on Credit limit & Credit Rating changes

· Notifying all relevant colleagues of any changes in credit cover

· Informing the insurers of new or increased Credit Insurance Cover through an online system.

· Dealing with Self-Insurance forms where appropriate

· Ongoing communication with other management teams on Credit limit issues & communicate to other colleagues & customers the reasoning behind Credit decisions made

· Monitoring and reporting of the insurance exception report daily

· Dealing with the internal conversation outcomes regrading decisions being made from the Insurance report

· Making sensible decisions in the absence of the Credit Collections Manager, to authorise release to overdue customers who have blocked credit orders. Authorisation to credit limit blocked orders if the appropriate insured or Specialised Investment Fund approvals have been made

· Reviewing of year- end customer financial accounts for credit limits at or below and ensuring that these qualify for Insurance cover under the agreed small limit process policy

· Youll be expected to regularly review & monitor all customers who fail to pay, or default

· Responsible for the Credit Control departments reporting (Month & Year End)

· Constant review of processes and procedures, with the Credit Managers & Supervisor, ensuring practices are to the appropriate levels of responsibility

About you:

· Credit Management & Risk Management experience is essential

· You must have experience of using SAP

· CICM Membership (or equivalent) is required

· Must be a confident user of Microsoft packages (Outlook, Excel, Word)

· You must be numerate, organised, assertive, professional, personable, numerate

· Confident in handling difficult situations & conversations, you must be calm under pressure

· Excellent communication skills

· Analytical with excellent attention to detail

· Excellent time management, multitasking skills and ability to meet deadlines set

· Ability to work under pressure and use own initiative

· You must be commercially aware with excellent negotiation skills
