Interaction Recruitment are currently working with the market-leading Global supply chain partner and distributor of communication products, security products, electrical and electronic wire and cable products to recruit an experienced, motivated and inspiring Business Development Manager to join their advancing team.


Summary of Business Development Manager for the South West region.

As a Business Development Manager you will be responsible for developing and growing a sustainable day to day OEM business through the utilisation of distribution and added value services. You will be taking direct ownership for new and existing accounts allocated in your region within this you will:


  • Promote company value proposition

  • Understand the customer’s supply priorities

  • Discover current pinch-points and key deliverables

  • Build strong customer and vendor relationships

  • Support customer’s growth

As a Business Development Manager your main responsibilities will be:

  • Adding sales and profit to the business

  • Growing sales turnover of new and existing customers

  • Finding, developing and closing new business from new accounts and existing accounts.

  • Building and maintaining a pipeline of new business opportunities.

  • Supporting, targeting and growing complex and accounts

As a Business Development we require the following skills, knowledge and experience:

  • Experience in selling value-added services and understanding ‘Total cost of ownership’ (TCO)

  • A track record of selling a service proposition

  • Can clearly demonstrate working with and influencing senior leadership stakeholders

  • Clear understanding of the OEM market and customers

  • A proven track record in finding, developing and closing new accounts

  • Can clearly demonstrate where growth has been delivered from your actions.

  • Wire & Cable experience - Desirable

As a Business Development Manager you must have:

  • High level of enthusiasm and energy

  • The ability to develop and improve existing processes and routes to market

  • Confident in your ability to provide value to the business

  • Self motivated, strong work ethic and good communications skills

  • Good relationship building skills

  • Comfortable working in close collaboration
