Contracts Manager - Portsmouth Projects: New Build and Refurbishment - Public Houses, Hotels, Residential & Local Authority Salary up to £60,000 + Car + 25 days Holiday + Bonus
A well know building contractor based in Portsmouth is searching for an Contracts Manager
The company has been trading for over 30 years and has a long tradition for building and refurbishing project for Public Houses, Hotels, Residential & Local Authority sectors.
Projects including Major or Minor Refurbishments, New Build and Major Extensions.
Responsibilities and Duties Managing and overseeing all aspects of project works Supervising assigned company personnel and sub-contractors Implementing project requirements to fully meet the client specification in accordance with relevant standards. Undertaking regular formal inspections of sites and sub-contractors work in accordance with company policy Preparing progress reports and technical reports for clients and for internal use Ensuring client satisfaction during projects and at handover Dealing with contractual matters Supporting the preparation of bids when required Keeping up to date with industry best practice Reporting to the Commercial Manager
Qualifications and Skills Good IT skills (Excel, MS Project, Outlook, Autocad) HNC Level Qualification (Preferable not essential) Be able to take-off drawings Experience of reading and accurately interpreting drawings and technical specifications Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with both customers and all levels of staff Problem solving skills and analytical thinking
